The playful combination of art, culture and nature.
In more than 25 years of creative wood works we have found our own unique style with a lot of imagination, hard work and constant development. It is astonishing, when we look back, what we have done and achieved in that long time! The quantity of objects and installations designed and planned with crafty meticulousness - all unique pieces - is vast. We do not just build the installations of our amusement park Kulturinsel Einsiedel and it's first German tree house hotel ourselves, but develop and produce complete leisure concepts for clients. Whether mythical creatures, tree houses, climbing frames, furniture, Artwork, pubs amenities, landscape architecture works, or complex indoor and outdoor playgrounds, we do it all.
Who we are
We create fantastic worlds - visionary like on a computer screen, but to be experienced with all senses!
The creative wood works company Künstlerische Holzgestaltung Bergman GmbH was formed in 1990. Born in the time of social upheaval it has become a lively enterprise employing 100 - 150 people and satisfying customers all over Europe and even worldwide. The company's first activities resulted in the development of an extraordinary amusement park - the Kulturinsel Einsiedel.
Uncommonness, uniqueness and and hard work still characterize the objects that we create.
Some peole may say we are not normal - and yes! - beyond normal, that's what our products are all about!
Our experiences are fed not only by meeting our clients requirements but also by our own "researches" ...
On the one hand, there is our Adventure Amusement Park with the 1st German Treehouse Hotel and other adventure accomodations, which are growing and growing due to constantly new ideas and visions. Meanwhile, it has extended across the river Nissa to Polish Shores and now calls itself "The Secret World of Turisede".
An independent cultural association organizes and develops exuberant festivals. In addition to crazy equipment, which are driven up to the "Turisedian Tournaments", the area proves itself in times of highest visitor volume regarding visitor guidance, stage concepts, tvent technics, catering supply, logistics etc.
What we do
„Big, unusual things made of wood“, that is what we reply when people ask what we are doing. Our products are based on our own ideas and designs. Every piece is manufactured only once. Fantasy creature, tree-house, climbing frame castle, bench suite, playable sculpture, landscape art or complex play-areas: Every object is unique.

How we do it
We use nearly exclusively untreated oak and robinia wood. The wood is precast, processed and put to use right here at our „Kulturinsel“ compound.
To guarantee excellent results we plan very carefully. Before our axes hit the wood for the first time, we consider the particular conditions at the respective sites and analyse the detailed needs of our customers. Afterwards we present a concept which matches the circumstances, requests and requirements.
After the planning stage we visualize the project for the first time by creating a model sketch. There, our ideas have to show if they can pass the test of the three-dimensional world.
Afterwards we produce a scaled down model in a ratio of 1:25. This model is a binding offer for our clients.
All our projects are supervised by a master craftsman. He chooses the fitting logs. He lays down the scales of the object according to the model. The master monitores the quality of the materials and of the work.
No matter if it´s The Alps, the Dutch Lowlands or The Canary Islands: We make sure that all the pieces arrive on time - and in shape - at the required location of our customers. How we do it? Because we plan the logistics very carefully, too.
No hassles: A safe assembly on the spot goes without saying. It´s as naturally a part of our service as is organising all required national security inspections according to the European norms and standards.
Upon successful completion of all works we do have all our playground constructions checked by certification companies. The inspection sheet -as requested either from DEKRA or TÜV- you receive with the final statement.
